One thing everyone has become concerned with in recent years is preserving the environment. Businesses too can do their own part to help. Below is a short list of ways that recycling can help your business.

It Cuts Down on Costs

Creating products from raw materials takes a lot of effort. To produce paper, for example, you must pay loggers to harvest trees. These workers do not come cheap. Alternatively, recycling paper garbage to create new paper is far more cost effective.

It Cuts Down on Energy Use

It can also cut down on the energy used to create a product. Fewer steps are needed in the production process. Creating plastic from pre-existing plastic, for example, takes a lot less effort than creating plastic from scratch. This means far less electricity and resources are used in the production process.

It Helps All Businesses in the Long Run

If fewer trees are cut down, it means that this natural resource will be preserved for use by others in the future. More trees can also provide jobs to others in the form of park services, the recreation industry and other businesses in this food chain. This will put more money in the economy. In turn, that money will be used to purchase more goods and services.

Businesses And Produce Landscaping For Employee Food Support

Two important features in today’s economy and job market that bear repeating are economic grown and environmental sustainability. These elements should go hand in hand and are focus points on the developments of the economy, and sustainability of the planet. Produce landscaping is exceptional when it is eco-friendly and utilizes local and organic farming. Produce landscaping is a commitment to quality as well as sustainability. There are also high quality and customer approved landscape products that are available on the market today. The quality of landscaping products is found in the types of tools and appliances used in landscaping.I found some more information here. The best landscaping products are efficient, high quality and cost effective. There are many green companies on the market that feature these kinds of landscape products for your garden, greenhouse, farm and agricultural plot. When combining an environmental ethos with produce landscaping, and landscape products you can find what you are looking for by carefully determining if the impact of your actions corresponds to the growth of the environment and economy.

To begin with, the rooftop green house need not be an expensive installation, but can be as simple as they come provided that it will proffer the right conditions for the different items to be grown within it.

As expected, there are several advantages that come with this sort of installation with the best being that it can be used to keep the business cool within the warmer seasons. You can find a quick rundown here

Rooftop green houses can also be used to produce fruits and vegetables that can then be sold at a profit. Moreover, these same fruits and vegetables can be used within the property, thereby lowering grocery bills while ensuring that what is being consumed is healthy and whole some.

Lastly, these rooftop green houses can be used to produce flowers that can brighten up the business or office complex they are located on.

Rooftop green houses, an economical and effective use of dead space within a property.

With the many destructions to our environment, the pollution is getting worse and worse. There have been laws that limits the use of cars in foreign countries to help the environment. These same areas are the areas that do not have enough green plants to help cleanse our air. It is said to have one tree for every block to outweigh the pollution in the world, but with the growing pollution, one tree is just not enough.

With that said, it is important that we all give a hand to the environment and plant one plant at a time for fresher air. It can be a fun project to have the children and the rest of the community participate in, as a project to get everyone together for a bit of bonding, and getting to know the neighbors. With one plant at a time, the air can gradually get cleaner and you can feel great about making a difference. It will help to balance out the effect of pollution on our children and help to improve the environment. It is a much needed project and help of many, with just one step at a time, together we can make the world a greener place.

Advancements in daylighting design offset energy costs. Solar light tubes offer maximum heat insulation properties and flexible installation for inner rooms, as well as privacy from visual contact with the outdoor environment.

Solar light tube replacement of traditional wattage bulbs increases the amount of natural daily light exposure significantly. Benefits include enhanced inception of daylighting for well-being and avoidance of over-illumination effects.

In comparison to artificial lighting, solar light tubes are great environmental impact reduction inputs that provide better natural light while saving energy and expense. In regions with longer cycles of spectral atmospheric darknesses during the Winter, solar light tubes may be combined with artificial hybrid daylighting to create consistency in effect through supply of sufficient spectrum simulation to that of natural sunlight.

Solar light tubes do not require normal electric installation or insulation, so that the technology is particularly well suited to indoor wet (i.e. bath and pool) areas. From a design standpoint, the recent development in daylighting innovation transparent, solar light tubes is allowing new planning in architecture and interior engineering of lighting as a component to more open spaces.

A viable option in alternative lighting, solar light tubes afford utility cost savings and sustainable energy reduction. The hits keep comin’: A guiding light for new directions in energy production

Everyone knows from the news on DIRECT TV or basic cable that greenhouse gasses aren’t a good thing. If you’re looking for simple ways to cut down on your emissions think about instituting the following policies in your home:
Cut Your Energy: Your carbon footprint is a great indicator of how many greenhouse gasses you’re outputting and the less of these you make, the better. Simple things like composting and carpooling make a huge difference and you can even start small with new light bulbs.
No Aerosol: Aerosol sprays are one of the main culprits behind greenhouse effects and if you really want to make a difference decide not to buy aerosol. It’s going to limit you (there are a lot of things that ONLY come in aerosol) but it’s a great place to start.
Plant Some Trees: If you’ve got a yard, plant some trees. They help reduce the carbon dioxide and actually clean the air around themdouble duty it and plant fruit trees if you really want to reduce. Eat the plants you grow and save a trip to the store!

On June 30 through July 1st the planets top scientists and economists alike gathered in Washington D.C. to discuss the controversial topic of climate change. Put together by the Heartland Institute this was the 6th International Conference on Climate Change. The Heartland Institute was founded in 1984 and whose mission is to “discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems.” During this meeting Joseph Romm left-wing center for American Progress blogger, Micheal Mann, Patrick Micheals, Anthony Watts among many others turned in to speak and listen to different ideas and research they’ve uncovered.

Micheal Mann is a scientist who believes in the “hockey stick” paleoclimate data suggesting a dramatic recent rise in average temperatures. Scott Denning another scientist talked of how the atmosphere contains around 800 million tons of carbon dioxide and that humans are emitting 8 billion tons themselves per year. Where this is being divided up is two tons being absorbed by the ocean and two tons by plants and the other 4 tons into the atmosphere that will stay there for centuries as the oceans slowly absorb.

Denning and Roy Spencer debated over climate sensitivity. Denning believing man made global warming is real and it’s quite easy to understand. It’s about how much heat we are producing, the more heat we produce the more the earth will warm, and it’s only natural. He believes doubling co2 would add 4 watts to every square meter of the surface of earth all day every day. Spencer argues that the computers used to get these numbers are over estimating. He believes warming is actually around 1.3C for doubling carbon dioxide.

One man, Nicola Scafetti, an assistant professor at Duke, claims to have found a pattern of 60 year cycles in changes in global temperatures which can be synced perfectly with Saturn and Jupiter’s orbital periods. He notes half the warming since 1925 to this process and doesn’t predict us stabilizing until 2030 to 2040.

Overall it’s a matter of opinion what you may believe but when more facts are shown and day to day life continues and we begin to notice more prominent heat in the days to come being prepared and staying educated is very useful and beneficial way to head.Keep looking, there’s more: Denial-a-Palooza: Where Are All the Scientists That Deniers Love To Talk About?

In recent years, the industrial-scale monoculture of produce has attracted a significant amount of criticism, mainly due to the process’s destruction of soil quality and an overreliance on chemical fertilizers. Two crops, namely amaranth and cassava, have the potential to relieve some of these challenges faced by both farmers and the land that they cultivate.
Amaranth, a leafy herb, is of particular interest due to its unique composition. Unlike wheat or corn, it produces both a copious amount of seeds that can be used as grain, as well as edible leaves. Therefore, its food value per area cultivated is debatably higher, which could lead to less strenuous land use. Moreover, its seed heads, which can contain half a million grains, contain high amounts of protein, are glucose free and require little fuel to cook. These traits make amaranth both nutritious and environmentally friendly.
Similarly, the prodigious cassava root also provides an attractive high-yield crop for future consideration. The starchy interior of the roots can be boiled whole or used as flour, while the edible leaves can serve as a more nutritious supplement. While similar in content to other tubers such as the potato, cassava roots are particularly valuable in that they grow even in poor soils with little rainfall. If the crop were to be cultivated more readily in the United States, it could lessen the drain on valuable aquifers, and reduce reliance on fertilizers which often require fossil fuels to manufacture. If you like what you see, keep going: Burros and Yucca

Providing food For A changing world through new gardening methods.
With more people in the world then ever before it is important to develop new ways to garden. Methods that that will increase crop yields. One type of technique is called hydroponics. Hydroponics is the fastest growth sector in agriculture and could help provide food through out the world. Land is becoming more scarce, both because of population increase but also become of bad land management. People are looking at hydroponics to make an additional food supply

Israel has been using hydroponic to grow food that would not normally be able to grow in that country. They have been able to grow large amounts of citrus fruit , bananas and berries. The hydroponic has a yield that is more then 900 times great then what the land would produce using conventional means. Furthermore it can all be done with computers, that are controlled by robots. These robots work on a assembly line, kind of like a auto plant.

The one down side of hydroponic is that they are not cheap. There is quite a bit of upfront cost to get one of these systems in place, you will also need to have people who are able to fix the computers and the robots when they breakdown. However with all technology cost will go down, and when they do
Hydroponics might be the answer to providing food for for a changing world.

Climate change of the future and home garden plants are a concern to everyone. There may come a time when farms do not produce enough food for everyone. You can help by raising foods that will supplement you food source and family meals. It can even become a source of income. Small home farms will become the main source of produce for families and communities everywhere. By choosing the right plan and foods, you will still be able to eat healthy and never be hungry.

Make sure you build a greenhouse on your property. No one knows if the weather will become too hot or if it will become colder. But many sources believe the cold is coming and with a small greenhouse you can raise plants until they are healthy and strong enough to transplant into the colder weather conditions. You may need to plan for twice the plantings in order to reap half the harvest, but you can still provide a great food source and supply. Select strong seeds for hardy plants. Items like potatoes, pumpkins, onions and green beans are hardy growers and will keep you supplied with fresh produce. Even strawberries are a great choice and you can grow them in pots right inside the greenhouse until harvest.
